Happy Halloween

Dear parents,

We hope you all had a lovely half term. I can’t believe we are now heading into the lead up to Christmas!

But before that we have lots of fun planned for this next half term. We are starting off our theme of celebrations with Halloween and bonfire night. We will be making potions, carving pumpkins, making ghosty snacks and creating some lovely firework pictures.

Fundraising

Our next fundraising event is the combined Christmas fayre on 19th November to be held in the village hall, 2-4pm. For this we are collecting empty and full screw top wine bottles. Please support us if you can, as without your donations,  we cannot run the stall which would be a huge shame. All money raised from these events goes towards new resources and experiences for the children. If you would like to help on the day please let us know.

Christmas card project

The children have been making Christmas cards that will be available to purchase in the next week or so. We will hand out the information to you very soon for that. We hope you like them!

Susie and forest school

We will be welcoming Susies song-time back this half term on a Friday. If you can donate £3 a week towards this we would be very grateful. Hannah will also continue to come once a month for our Welly weds session. Alongside Hannah we also have Laura’s explorers coming into the setting twice a month. Laura runs a forest school and the children enjoyed a trial session with her before half term which was great. Laura’s sessions will be on a variety of days so more children can experience the forest school element of preschool. Julie will of course continue her wonderful activities too so please send your child in ready to head straight outside every weds.

We start off this week with Hannah on weds 2nd.

Dates for your diary

Our preschool nativity will be on Monday 12th Dec. Exact time to be confirmed but we expect it to be around 10am.

Our preschool party will be on Friday 16th, again exact time to be confirmed (morning) but all children are invited and can be dropped off and left for the duration of the party.

The last day of term is Friday 16th Dec and we finish at the normal time of 3pm, 4pm for those booked in.

As always please do come in and chat to us at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great week all!

Leanne and team
