Hibernation
Dear parents,
We went on a lovely walk last week to look for autumn things. The children loved it and it really got them using all of their senses which then led to lots of lovely language being used.
This week we will be making some autumn wreaths, looking at animals in autumn and talking about hibernation with our oldest children.
Welly Weds
Welly Wednesday will look a little different from now on. As well as having Hannah with us once a month we will be welcoming back Laura’s explorers for the other three Wednesdays of the month. These sessions will be starting at 11am so we ask that you do NOT send your child in waterproofs and wellies in the morning but please provide them in a bag ready for us to change them into. Please also make sure your child has the appropriate clothing, depending on the weather, spare clothing in the setting daily and wellies unless you would like to borrow ours.
Toddler Tuesdays
We would like to start taking out youngest children to the church toddler group every so often on a Tues. If you prefer your child not to take part in this activity then please let us know. It will be on a 1:2 staff/child ratio to ensure the children’s safety. We think this will be a nice thing to do to engage with the local community
.
AGM
Please come along and support your child’s preschool on Tues at 7.30. As a charity, each year we meet to recruit new committee members and share ways that you can help us continue to provide a wonderful learning environment for your little ones.
If you are unable to come along there are a few other ways you can help.
*Volunteer to help at fundraising events, (no pressure to join the committee)
*Bringing in snack items (please see the list by the door)
*Support extra activities, suzies songtime, forest school with Hannah and Laura’s explorers with cash donations.
*Share our Facebook/Instagram page.
*Tell everybody about our wonderful little village preschool 😊
As always if you have any questions or concerns then please do let us know. We are always happy to discuss your child’s progress with you and will start our focus child weeks again after half term. We wanted to use this half term to really get to know our new children and assess where our current children are in terms of their learning style.
Have a great week everybody!
