Dear parents,
It’s time for us to get Christmassy here at preschool! Our story this week will be ‘The jolly Christmas postman’
The children will be taking a walk to the post office to buy some stamps and then posting some very special letters home. Look out for those landing on your doorstep soon!
Nativity costumes
Our nativity costumes will be organised this week so we will let you know if you need anything extra to go under the outfits. Don’t forget to let us know if your child cannot attend the nativity. We would like all children who do not normally attend on a Monday to be dropped off by 10am please on 11th Dec. The performance starts at 10.30.
Party time
Our Christmas party will be on Friday 15th Dec, this is also the last day of term. All children are welcome and if your child is not normally in that day you can drop them at 10.15 and collect at 1pm. For those who are normally in that day we will be open as normal until 3pm (4pm for those booked in)
Colder weather
Please make sure your child has the correct clothing for the colder weather. We still like to be outside as much as we can. Our garden doors are open from 9am and the children can go in and out as they please throughout the morning. Please send named hats/gloves/scarves etc.
Donations
Don’t forget there are many ways you can support our lovely preschool. As a charity we rely on fundraising events to raise money for special things such as susies songtime/forest school/egg hatching in the spring and new resources.
Below are some ways you can support us;
🎶 Donating £3 per week (7 weeks) per child for Susies songtime for this term.
🍁 Donating £3 per week (7 weeks) per child for forest school.
🍓🍌Any snack donations greatly received. A bag of apples, satsumas, grapes is perfect and we also need savoury items such as breadsticks, crackers etc.
⏰ Giving your time to help at fundraising events.
🪴Gardening. We always need help with our gardens with grass cutting, weeding and pressure washing.
👍Social media likes and shares are really important to get ourselves seen within the community. Please follow our pages and pop a quick like on any posts you see. We are on Facebook and Instagram.
Many thanks in advance for anything you can do to help.
Tapestry
You can see what your child has been up to each week by visiting their tapestry account. Here you can see videos, photos, focus week write ups and 2 year checks. We encourage you to like the posts, comments and add your own photos and videos from home. We love to see what your children get up to at the weekends. Any problems with your accounts then please let us know so we can help you use this wonderful resource we have.
Have a great week everybody!
