The ugly duckling

After a ROAR-some two weeks of dinosaur fun we are moving onto “The ugly duckling”Our duck eggs are arriving on Monday, very exciting times. We can’t wait to see them hatch.

Welly Weds

Unfortunately there will be no welly weds this week (8th March) due to staff training. Next week we will be back to normal.

Mother’s Day

Don't forget our Mother’s Day tea and cake on Friday 17th March 8.30-9.30. Come along and have a cup of tea and a play with your child.

Pull-ups

We would like to ask that unless your child is actively toilet training that you please send them with nappies instead of pull-ups. We have many children in nappies each day and when we have to completely undress them to change a pull-up it can be very time consuming for us. Nappies are much easier and quicker for us to change and therefore removes the need for us to spend longer periods of time than necessary out of the main hall. Thank you for your co-operation with this.

Getting ready for school

We have our parents evening on 23rd March, 7.30-8.30 to discuss how you can support your child in being ‘school ready’ We will also be explaining how we plan and deliver our preschool curriculum so this evening is open to all parents. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible.

 WE NEED YOU!

As a charity our preschool is run by a group of parent volunteers (our committee). With many of their children off to school in sept we are looking for new members. You can be as involved as you would like to be and it is a great way of making new friends too. Without a committee our lovely preschool cannot run so please, please consider joining. If you would like to know more then please ask a member of the team or speak to Tamsin (Eimears mummy).

Reminders

* Please send your child with a named water bottle each day. We have these out for the children to access throughout the day.

* Don’t forget to to send spare clothes, including socks.

* Please do not send your child to preschool in precious clothing. Although we offer aprons to wear and try to catch the children before they begin creating their master piece, it is not always possible.

As always please chat to a member of staff if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great week!

Leanne and team
